Warm Up for three minutes . Every five minutes , stop and do one of these yoga moves . Then Continue your walk .

Standing Camel To undo all those hours of at-your-desk and behind-the-wheels slumping, lace your palms at the base of your spine and lean back as far as is comfortable without straining . Take 5 to 15 deep breaths .

Forward Fold Stand with knees bend slightly . Hinge forward from your hips , clasping hands and stretching towards your toes. Take 5 to 15 deep breaths .

Chest Expander Stand with your feet comfortably apart . Clasp both hands behind your back and gently lift up as far as you can , keeping shoulders down . Take 5 to 15 deep breaths .

Why You Tan ?

Your skin tans on its outermost layer , the epidermis . About 5 per cent of the cells in your epidermis are special cells called melanocytes . When UVA rays strike the melanocytes they produce melanin – the pigment ultimately responsible for tanning .

The pinkish melanin travels up through the epidermis and is absorbed by the outer skin cells . When UVB rays strike the melanin the skin oxidizes , or darkens .

This darkening , or “tanning” , is your skin’s way of protecting itself from too much UV light – in fact , a tan is a symptom of UV overdose ! The outer skin is continually sloughing “old-dead” cells, replacing them with “new – dead” cells daily; this is why a tan “fades” .

However the extra melanin in tanned skin only provides a Sun Protection Factor of about 2 to 4 , far below the desired minimum SPF of 15 .

If you want to burn your fat , then you should follow these methods . First follow a daily normal diet low in refined carbs (white bread , pasta) but high in fruits and vegetables , with moderate protein; aim for about 1,500 calories. Twice reducing and eliminating rest time between sets .

1. Windmills
Stand tall with arms extended out to sides, abs engaged . Bending from waist, reach right arm toward left toes; repeat on left (25 reps, alternating sides ) .

Target : Abs .

2 . Pulsing lunge :

Lunge forward with right leg ; hold for 4 seconds , then pulse up and down 5 times. Repeat on left . That’s rep. Do 10 .

Target : Butt and legs .

3 .Triceps Kickback

Hold dumbbell in right hand . Bend at hips until almost parallel to floor . Bring elbow to rib , straighten forearm back , and return (15 reps) ; repeat on left .

Target : Triceps

4 . Push Up

Start in plank position . Hold for 30 seconds , drop to knees ; do 15 push-ups . Progress to regular pushups .

Target : Chest and core

Double Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients :

4 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup mini semisweet chocolate pieces
2 teaspoons powdered sugar .

Method :

Preheat oven to 350 degree F . Coat the bottom of 9-inch-by-9-inch nonstick baking pan with any vegetable oil . In a medium saucepan , melt butter ; remove from heat. Stir in sugar , water and vanilla . Mix in flour , cocoa powder and baking powder until combined . Add chocolate pieces . Pour batter into pan; bake for 15 to 18 minutes . Cool in pan on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar .

Makes : 16 brownies
Nutrition facts per brownie : 111 calories, 1 gm protein , 18 gm carbohydrate , 4 gm fat ( 3gm saturated) . 1 gm fibre .

A bone-density test , know as a dual-energy X-ray (DXA) exam , is proven way to gauge your risk of osteoporosis , but it’s not the only way . Now Swiss researchers say simple ultrasound of the heel can offer a useful assessment with less risk because it doesn’t use radiation .
